March 4 -- The original Reebok Pump debuted in 1989. The shoe made Reebok a force in the basketball world for the better part of the 1990s. The Pump, and its 170 dollar pricetag, made a major statement on and off the court. Paul Litchfield, the man who invented the Pump, tells Bloomberg how it came to be.
