A variety of photos, mostly taken between 1940 and 1947, of Morwell Hodges and places he went to in those years, including Healesville, Chelsea, Frankston, Seaford, Northern Queensland (Cooktown, Atkinson's Hill Reservoir, Thursday Island), Melbourne Zoo, Belgrave, Fanning Island, and Acheron. Some photos are of performers with Ashton's Circus and Perry Bros Circus.There are also photos of his relatives and his dogs. Includes some movie stills and an advertisement for the Morwell Hodges Library. Handwritten notation of some places, persons and animals, including dates. There are also 2 lightning sketches of well-known Melbourne identities, drawn by Charles Fredricksen, Commissionaire of Hoyt's De Luxe Theatre, Bourke Street. |
