Summary |
Aquis Great Barrier Reef Resort is the largest single tourism development ever proposed for Cairns, Queensland, Australia. Due to the magnitude of this proposed project, there are socio-economic and environmental impacts to consider, like high unemployment rates in Cairns and the proximity to the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Aquis has published an Environmental Impact Statement to cover the intent of its project and the expected impacts on society and the environment, as well as proposals to mitigate these risks. This case requires students to do a stakeholder analysis, from the specific viewpoint of one of its stakeholders |
