Summary |
A cinema verité account of Eliot Feld's early choreography and the founding of his first ensemble, The American Ballet Company. Its first performance took place in Italy at the 1968 Spoleto Festival. Filmed in New York and Spoleto. Dancers are seen rehearsing excerpts from Feld's Meadowlark, Intermezzo, At midnight and Pagan spring. Choreographer Antony Tudor, Administrator Lew Lloyd, critic Clive Barnes, ballet masters Richard Thomas and Barbara Fallis, and company pianists Gladys Celeste Mercader and Barbara Malcolm also appear briefly |
