| Summary |
A beautifully animated tale from Iraq about a Caliph who is magically turns into a stork. The Caliph soon realises that this is the work of his greedy brother who wants to take over his place at the palace. With the help of an owl, the Caliph seeks to set things right. This film explores the dangers of greed and desire for power. Narrated by Stephen Mangan. Tales From Around the World is a series of animated films based on the most interesting and unusual folktales from around the world. The series includes a story about the origin of the night from Brazil, a story about a Punjabi King who allows himself to be fried and eaten for breakfast each day in return for an unlimited supply of gold and a story from Israel about the importance of personal choice and individuality.
