Certificate issued by the Independent Order of Rechabites to Victorian state school children who had passed the temperance physiology examination. Features large reproduction of the logo of the Independent Order of Rechabites under which appears the text of the certificate. A male and female child flank the certificate text. The male on the left wears a coat with the United Kingdom coat of arms printed on it and holds aloft a flag that reads "Truth and temperance." The female child on the right wears an apron with the images of a beaver(?), tiger, ostrich and kangaroo printed on it and holds a flag that reads "Love and purity." A number of additional coats of arms appear clustered at the foot of the poster, flanked by sprigs of wattle
