Summary The unbelievable story of one of the most incredible groups in America, who save lives every day in the Alaskan wilderness. Oh, and by the way, they're all kids. The Dragon Slayers is usually an all-girl group. In 2003, Land Rover donated a truck to the teen rescue squad. The Dragon Slayers travel 1000 miles just to give half-hour community health demonstrations. A&E proudly presents a very special profile of an extraordinary group of kids. Go on-call with the overachieving teens from Aniak, Alaska, a town of fewer than 600 people that's 350 miles from the nearest road system. The Dragon Slayers, aged thirteen to seventeen and primarily Native Americans, are a very special part of this remote community. In an environment so demanding that adults can't spare the time to volunteer, these kids have taken on the duty of saving lives. By truck, snowmobile, helicopter, or foot, these kids are always at the ready - whether in class or kicking back - to respond to any emergency within an area the size of Maryland. They've done it all, from rescuing plane crash survivors to rushing babies out of burning buildings, and our cameras go with them as they save a heart attack victim and aid a man in danger of freezing to death. You will be amazed at the commitment and maturity of these remarkable young people, and you will be inspired by the difference in their lives - and in the lives of their neighbors - that being a Dragon Slayer has made
