Summary |
"NSW Health Department Centre for Aboriginal Health has set up a phone inquiry line to assist Indigenous families with the repatriation of human tissue belonging to loved ones retained after hospital or coronial autopsies. The NSW Human Tissue Inquiry Project is the State's response to the Australian Health Ministers Advisory Committee and Australian Health Ethics Commission recommendation of 2001. NSW Health is the only jurisdiction to have acted with a looming deadline of March 2007 before all remains are to be cremated."--ABC Website |
