Summary |
Here is a unique book that illustrates some of the basic concepts young children must learn in order to deal with the world around them - concepts such as size, speed, spacial relations, quantity, texture and temperature. These concepts are paired as opposites in over 500 illustrations so that children can readily make disctinctions between them. For example: hot-cold, fast-slow, big-little, few-many, and up-down. Each pair of concepts is pictured and labeled in a "key" drawing, and many other varied examples are provided on the same page or spread, enabling a child to learn to identify them on his own |
