Summary |
Story of Frank, a rather cantakerous civil engineer, who retires from work at age seventy and persuades his close friend Frances to accompany him north to northern Queensland. At first everything is fine, but when Frank's health begins to fail, he becomes cranky and bad tempered, and Frances longs to see her family back in Melbourne |
