Summary Based on historical fact, the story follows the life of a certain half caste Aboriginal named Jimmy Governor. Jimmy marries a white girl hoping to achieve assimiliation into white society but, instead, he becomes an object of loathing and ridicule. In the winter of 1900, after some harassment from farmers, he murders a family near Gilgandra in New South Wales. He and his full blood Aborigine brother, Joey embark upon an odyssey of murdering whites. Hunted and hounded, he is eventually captured, tried, sentenced to death, and executed
