Summary |
"Twelve-year-old Akira (Yûya Yagira) lives in a small inner-city apartment in Tokyo with his mother and three younger siblings, all with different fathers. The four children do not attend school; instead they are left alone daily, instructed by their mother not to leave the confines of the apartment. One day when Akira’s mother selfishly abandons her children to pursue a life of her own, Akira steps up to manage the household, fending for himself and his younger siblings. As time carries on the challenge to survive becomes more difficult resulting in a shocking finale." -- World Movies Channel website |
