Summary |
A funny yet poignant portrait of Robert Crumb, the archetypal underground artist of the '60s. His work was always vivid, usually anarchic, sometimes violent and pornographic. Not only did he confront his generation's taboos, he positively embraced them in work such as "Fritz The Cat". This remarkable film examines the weird body of Crumb's work, and discovers some sources of his inspirations, including his upbringing within one of this century's most dysfunctional families. "Crumb" includes unexpurgated interviews, with the man himself, his brothers, his lovers, his friends and his critics |
