Summary |
Marcel Duchamp challenged the accepted standards of aesthetic beauty. Filmed in 1963, the program offers a unique in-depth interview with Duchamp at the Pasadena Art Museum during his first one-man show. He discusses his life, his ideas on art, his obsession with chess, and why he chose to continue living in America after fleeing France in 1915. Originally filmed in black and white, the program has now been partially reshot in colour so that Duchamp's work can be seen to best advantage |
