ECO-TEC probes the fusion between ecology and technology, to go beyond prevailing theories of sustainability and suggest a new role for architecture. It serves to reassess our collective ecological and technological illiteracy by placing a priority on learning from nature and taking care of nature in the buildings and communities we design, build, and occupy. The thirteen essays in ECO-TEC stem from a series of international forums and workshops sponsored by StoreFront for Art and Architecture.
