Snoking prevalence in Australia is now the fourth lowest in the world. However 17% of pregnant women smoke and in Indigenous communities the rate is about 50%. There is clear evience that quitting at any time during pregnancy will improve the health outcomes for both mother and baby. This program explores the impact of smoking on pregnant women, their unborn child, and young children, canvassing effective smoking cessation interventions |
