Summary |
In Australia there are 245,000 people with dementia. By 2030 that number will double. It's a major health issue for our society, yet it remains one of the most misunderstood conditions, especially by young people. In this program we follow eight curious teenagers as they meet elders with dementia, and then create video projects that explore life and memory during old age, the realities of dementia and the way young people can engage better with older people. This is an innovative examination of health, ageing and the power of the media process to explore an issue. The DVD also includes the finished student films |
