This guide is written for anyone who is interested in working with individuals who have dementia. By its very nature it is particularly aimed at occupational therapy staff, but it is hoped that other clinicians, carers and educators will find it of value. The guide advocates a
person-centred approach which reflects the holistic nature of occupational therapy. It is the intention of the author to inspire the process of 'meaningful making' which is at the heart of occupational therapy.[Includes bibliographical references]
