Summary |
In Great White Shark new underwater video technology means that we can now see these awesome two tonne, 19-foot fish closer than ever before. This BBC video about the natural world shows Great Whites socialising and hunting around California's Farallon Islands and around Dyer Island, off the South African Cape. Far from the Hollywood image conveyed in Jaws, Great Whites are shown to be shy and cautious creatures, existing within a highly-structured social order. But they are also terrific marine killing machines, striking at high speed from the murky depths of the sea |
