Contents Introduction -- Language matters? -- A lexicon for learning leadership -- Realising change -- Conclusion -- Questions for reflection and learning conversations
Summary The author’s core interest is in how leaders at all levels of systems can create capacity for learning, and how the language that they use plays an influential role. First, she reflects on why the words that leaders use really matter and contends that to embrace learning leadership necessitates changing a number of terms that are in common use. Next, she offers examples of words and expressions that she believes better exemplify the intent of learning leadership than alternatives in the current lexicon, and provides the rationale for her selections. In concluding, she offers questions for personal and collective reflection. -- Publisher website
