Summary |
"This documentary seeks to investigate indecent exposure, what propels people to do it and what, if anything can make them stop. This film details the lives of five men, all varied in their reasoning for why they do it, their attitude to indecent exposure itself and their management of it. We meet a flasher of 35 years from the UK who has been through treatment and now feels 'in control' of his (continued) flashing. There is an unrepentant man from Melbourne who by day is an accountant, married with two children and by night is an exhibitionist who wears see-through shorts into convenience stores late at night and rear-vision sunglasses to gauge the reactions of women who encounter him. We also meet a victim of flashing who has undergone significant mental trauma as a result, giving credence to the argument that flashing is not as some of the men interviewed seem to think, merely a harmless act an individual chooses to do. This documentary unveils some of the motivations and the psychology behind this disturbing behaviour and various forms of treatment for it." (From the UK, in English) MA (Rpt) CC WS -- website |
