| Summary |
In this luxuriant, supernatural thriller set against the rich backdrop of 1930s Shanghai, Junchu, a talented young cinematographer, is forced to marry the hapless Sansan after his true love, Manli, is killed in a freak accident. When Sansan discovers a mysterious locked door in their attic, Junchu forbids her to enter.
