Summary |
Narrated by Derek Jacobi, this is a study of the life and works of author Graham Greene. From his struggles with mental illness and associated suicide attempts to his conversion to Catholicism and serial adultery, the film analyses the forces which drove his writing, and impregnated it with the dualities and oppositions in his own life. The portrait combines excerpts from film adaptations of his work, and interviews with Paul Theroux, John Mortimer and David Lodge, amongst others. (From the US) (Masterpiece) (Documentary) PG |
