Summary Program consists of numerous segments illustrating the views of African American women on life, love and marriage, as well as how African American men perceive Black women. The longest segments features a conversation with photographer Chester Higgins, Jr. about his new book of photographs, Black Woman, and a discussion led by Associate Producer Vickie Jones on traditional marriage versus polygamy. Additional segments include performances by a female vocalist, a modern dancer, and a poetry reading by Sarah Fabio, a brief "Information" segment on prominent African American women in Boston (Elma Lewis, Director of the National Center of Afro-American Artists, Doris Bunte, Massachusetts State Representative, and Josephine Holley, founder of La Parisienne Beauty Salon), two short film segments (one of Malcolm X talking about women), and interviews with Rebecca Lewis and Imogene Roundtree, both elderly African American women from Boston, who talk about education and employment when they were in their twenties
