Summary |
This series features semiconductor and computer chip manufacturing. Each video includes rarely seen live industrial footage and explores technical processes using vivid animations and graphics. Silicon run I and II explore processes used to manufacture microchips, both before and after fabrication. Silicon run lite combines footage from the first two videos to show the growth of silicon crystals during the assembly of a personal computer, providing an introduction t the semiconductor and electronic industry. Meanwhile, Silicon run lithography focuses on the role of photolithography in imaging and printing layers of integrated circuits. Finally, Silicon run depositon looks at the process of thin film deposition in CMOS fabrication, Silicon run etch looks at the etch process in semiconductor manufacturing, and Silicon run implementation looks at the process of ion implantation used in integrated circuit manufacturing |
