Summary |
The first episode of this series is brought to you from Warmun in Western Australia. Devastated by floods in March, locals are finally returning to the town as homes and lives are rebuilt. We also report on the 45th anniversary of the Wave Hill Walk Off - the Gurindji stockmen's strike which became the catalyst for a nationwide struggle over Aboriginal land rights. In arts coverage, Bangarra Dance Theatre's Stephen Page celebrates 20 years as Artistic Director and we take a look at their latest production 'Belong' - which explores what it means to be Aboriginal in the 21st century.We feature Microwave Jenny as the openning act in our ground breaking music series which will showcase Indigenous talent.
