| Summary |
This second edition of the Atlas of Pediatric Laparoscopy and Thoracoscopy came about for two reasons. First, it has been over a decade since the first edition was published, and there have been significant advances in the surgical care of infants and children when using the minimally invasive approach. Second, one of our colleagues mentioned that copies of the first edition were selling for $1000 USD on eBay, which implied that there was a demand for another edition. The authors have been carefully selected for their expertise in the topic(s) they have authored. Several wrote the chapter in the first edition, but many authors are new. We thank them all for their time and effort in making this an up-to-date book for the readership |
