Summary |
Frida is a young Lebanese woman from Melbourne with a head for business and a passion for fashion. She wins 4000 in a radio competition and opens a fashion boutique for Islamic women, but soon discovers there's no money in it. Meanwhile her husband Albert who lives in Sydney, is trying to cut it as a big time boxing promoter. On his flying visits to Melbourne he helps Frida as she takes on the glitzy word of mainstream fashion. With youth and tenacious determination Frida manages to navigate her way through a minefield of in-laws, outlaws, having a baby and dreams of moving to Sydney.
