Summary Social journalist James Burke, from a 2050 perspective, looks back to our present and examines the theories, current predictions and solutions for global warming. The first part of the series, examines history to show how past shifts in temperature drastically changed human society. The second part of the series, discusses the next great revolution in human history which will occur between 1995 and 2050, an ecological revolution, the Revolution of Planetary Management. The program moves across both time and place, showing earth's past as well as its future, using a combination of computer animation, models and on-location footage from around the world
