Summary "The following material has been prepared for the use of the staffs of child guidance clinics and of institutions where the psychiatric problems of children are dealt with. An attempt has been made to present a general outline of the methods of examination approved by qualified workers in this field. These methods are not to be rigidly adhered to on all occasions, however, as this is a new field and existing methods are constantly being modified. The clinical types mentioned indicate general leads in the direction of classification without any attempt at complete clinical descriptions, as this is beyond the scope of the present study. This small volume is intended chiefly for the use of physicians, psychologists and social workers. However, parts of it may be of value to all readers who are interested in psychiatric problems of children"--Preface. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2015 APA, all rights reserved)
