Summary When patients are faced with impending death, tough decisions need to be made and that's what Insight examines in 'Holding On'. Patients, families and medical professionals will come together to discuss whether it's worth buying time with drugs or invasive surgery. Insight presenter Jenny Brockie will lead the discussion about how patients, families and medicos make decisions when further treatment seems futile. Personal stories will be told about the challenges that individuals and families face, with studio guests including doctors working in oncology, haemotology and intensive care as well as a palliative care specialist. Insight will examine how society deals with death, also looking at hospice care and advanced care plans
