Summary In addition to field test results and theoretical knowledge, interpretation and engineering judgement on the available factual data is essential for proper planning and execution of ground investigation. Maximum subsurface information can be extracted with lesser budget if proper interpretation is made. In other words, no amount of site investigation is adequate without proper interpretation and application of engineering judgement. With this in consideration in mind, this book provides special focus to the importance of interpretation and engineering judgement in geotechnical projects.Places an emphasis on the role of site interpretation and the application of engineering judgementDiscusses project personnel and how they have to understood ground conditions to respond accordinglyIncludes real-life examples that will be of great help for all those involved in the planning and execution of geotechnical projects
