Summary |
On April 26, 1986, there was a failure of the fourth reactor at Chernobyl, causing the most disastrous nuclear power plant accident in history. In effect, a total of 116,000 people were relocated from the area around the power plant and 300,000 people were involved in remedying the effects of the disaster. This documentary follows the crew as they re-enter the Chernobyl exclusion zone. There, they witness the installation of the new sarcophagus that is believed to absorb the deadly radiation for the next century. Watch exclusive footage from the danger area, interviews with eye-witnesses of the disaster, as well as scientists and designers involved in building the new sarcophagus |
