The Woolly Mammoth did not become extinct 12,000 years ago. According to new evidence, it went on roaming until 4,000 years ago, which was about the time the Pyramids were built. The mammoth bones were discovered by a geologist in a remote area of Siberia, and at the time he had no idea that this pile of bones might finally provide the answer to one of the world's great mysteries - why did the woolly mammoth become extinct?
