Summary Cabrini Ministries is located at St. Philips Mission in the Kingdom of Swaziland. Two Sisters, Sr. Barbara Staley and Sr. Diane Dalle Molle, have built a home for more than 140 orphaned and vulnerable children. Cabrini Ministries is organized into three primary units consisting of child care, health care, and education. The region of Swaziland where St. Philips Mission resides, called the Lubombo lowveld region, has endured a near twenty-year drought. There is an 80% unemployment rate in the region as well as limited access to water and almost no clean water. Food security is a major issue as there is no subsistence farming in the area due to the drought. Cabrini Ministries is forced to look inward to determine how to provide for basic care of the orphans, but also would like to ensure that the children have the necessary skills and training to thrive once they have aged out of the orphanage. This case explores how Cabrini Ministries can establish strategies to ensure the stability of the children now and in the future
