Series The Undateables ; Series 2, Episode 5
Summary *Coarse Language*A year ago, a group of extraordinary singletons took their first steps into the world of dating. From a stand-up comedian with Tourette Syndrome to an amateur poet with a learning disability, we followed their highs and lows as they entered the world of blind dates, matchmakers and speed-dating. This episode revisits many of the contributors from the uplifting first series of The Undateables. Life and love has moved on for all of them, but did Cupid's arrow hit the target or are they still trying to find The One?In this catch-up episode we catch up with: Richard, a 38-year-old amateur radio enthusiast who has Asperger's; 32-year-old Shaine from Bournemouth, a prolific amateur poet with a learning disability who's written over 3,000 love poems, some for complete strangers; Sam, 28, from Kent, a media student and actor with Down Syndrome who's appeared in The Inbetweeners and Eastenders; 24-year-old Luke, a stand-up comedian who has Tourette's which makes it hard to control his physical and vocal tics.We also catch up with 25-year-old skateboarder Hadyn who has a craniofacial condition called Crouzon Syndrome to discover how he has fared in his quest for love. And 30-year-old Carolyne from Greater Manchester, who was paralysed 6 years ago when a weak blood vessel burst in her spinal cord overnight, has finally found her Prince Charming. But who is he?PRODUCTION DETAILS:Produced and directed by Kathryn Tregidgo and Chris McLaughlin, series produced by Sarah Spencer
