The thesis is a preliminary philosophical investigation into the effects of televisual screens in the lives of contemporary adolescents. It concludes and warns that for a growing cohort of these adolescents their behaviour/desires/lifestyles are being overdetermined in a deleterious manner by the effects of spending inordinate hours at these screens
