Summary |
Graphic designers aren't rock stars. They don't sign their work. They aren't gracing the covers of major news magazines. They aren"t household names. They just quietly change the world, perfecting how we communicate and operate. Milton Glaser--arguably the greatest graphic designer in America of the last 100 years--has not only changed the world through design, he's also as close to a rock star as designers get. Through interviews with colleagues, clients, contemporary art historians, and writers, this film gives a political, social, and aesthetic context to Glaser's body of work while illuminating his contribution to post-modern graphic design. An engaging portrait of an artist who's spent a lifetime affirming the power of art to inform and delight, and, if he can help it, effect positive social change |
