Summary |
We often associate the term homeless with someone who is down on their luck, thrown out of their home, and sometimes even a little crazy. But what if being homeless was a choice...an escape? In this episode, Andrew will call San Francisco's Golden Gate Park home as he lives with one its long-time residents. Meet Danielle. At just twenty-three, she has been homeless for over a decade. During her troubled childhood in a small town on Oregon's pacific coast, Danielle suffered neglect from her family and was labelled an outcast at school. Her eventual decision to rebel landed her in a strict juvenile detention centre which later led to abandoning her home all together. Danielle hitchhiked the nearly 500 miles south to what has become her home on the streets of San Francisco. (From the US) (Documentary) PG **New Episode** |
