PERSPECTIVES IN WELDINGAuthor Index -- Keywords |
Summary |
Annotation This collection of 174 papers from the April 2002 conference presents recent developments in stainless steel, friction stir, gas tungsten arc, and laser beam welding along with new results about the reduction of cracking, the properties of weldments, the modeling of residual stresses, and robotics. Among the topics are HAZ properties of high nitrogen austenitic stainless steel, anode heat transfer in GTA welding, the effect of pin tool shape on metal flow during friction stir welding, and fume generation and control in gas metal arc welding. Other topics include consumables for underwater wet welding, components of the creep strength of welds, and the weldability of electro-deposited nickel.
