Summary A small, regional directional institution is concerned with ensuring their athletic programs are Title IX compliant as they have undergone NCAA certification review. Title IX is a section of the civil rights act designed to create fair and equitable access for all individuals to educational opportunities, specifically in organizations that receive funding from the federal government through the Department of Education. The university president has given the athletic director the directive to make meaningful, measurable gains toward Title IX compliance within the next five years. The athletic director and advisory committee have decided to add a sport, but need to decide what sport to add and how to sustain the costs of adding a new sport
