Summary |
This film, directed and produced by Marlene Millar and Philip Szporer, written in collaboration with celebrated vocalist, musician and director Charmaine LeBlanc, weaves together dance, song, animation and documentary video. A poetic unveiling of four male dancers at midlife - still vital, powerful and strong - performing unadorned, without masks or shame as they take stock, probe uncertainties about fading youth exploring their hopes, vulnerabilities and regrets. As these celebrated performers shed all inhibitions and confront their past head on, they reveal their need for intimacy and to be understood by their fellow men. The production explores a transformative moment in these men's lives, as their desire to connect, to be comforted and loved takes precedence over all fear |
