| Summary |
In an African village four young girls facing ritual purification (female circumcision) flee to the househould of Colle Ardo Gallo Sy, who invokes provides moolaade (sanctuary) to protect the fugitives. Tension mounts as the ensuing stand-off pits Colle against village tradionionalists and endangers the prospective marriage of her daughter to the heir-apparent to the tribal throne. |
