Summary |
This report from the Commonwealth Child Care Advisory Council investigates the nature of, and demand for, child care in 2001 and beyond. As well as recommendations, it includes detailed papers on the rationale and issues behind the proposals, which are centred around the key themes of: raising the status and standing of children and those involved in their care, development and education; addressing the demand and supply of flexible work-related child care; and supporting access and participation in child care by families and children with additional needs.
