Description 1 online resource (viii, 79 pages) portrait
Summary "When the American Psychological Association selected the Carnegie Institute of Technology for the place of the Eighth Annual Bingham Memorial Lecture, it was decided to extend the program into "Bingham Day". In addition to publishing the invited papers of the program it was thought appropriate to include a listing of the previous lectures in the series and to gather in one place for the first time the extensive bibliography of Professor Bingham. Scholars will thus be able to trace in his own words the development of applied psychology as recorded by one of its pioneers up to the time of his death on July 7, 1952. His influence extended over a period of four decades and is in part acknowledged by the inscription, "Architect of the Classification System of the Army, 1940-1947", which appears on the headstone of his burial place in Arlington National Cemetery"--Book.
