A historical record of the foundation and expansion of the Victorian School of Occupational Therapy which was established in the immediate post 1939-45 war period. Academic curricular consisted of lectures at the University of Melbourne; practicial work at Melbourne Technical College (RMIT) and other studies within the school in applied occupational therapy. Data has been selected to present the problem, and challenge of launching an emerging profession at a period of transition in the country
