Summary |
"The Brookings Institution, as part of its training activities, gives each year a general seminar for the benefit of its staff and its Research Fellows. This seminar is planned to furnish a broad view and a stimulating and suggestive content rather than to be a detailed research in a particular subject. The course for the year 1930-31 had for its general subject problems of method in the social sciences. With the co-operation of a number of distinguished scholars from institutions other than our own, an extensive reading list was prepared. These scholars then presented a series of evening lectures followed the next day, in each case, by a round table discussion led by the lecturer. The addresses given in the seminar form the content of this volume"--Preface. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2012 APA, all rights reserved) |
