Like all good science fiction thrillers, these films use the very latest special effects to enter an alien world. Insects of all kinds are captured, invading our homes, conquering new territories, building sophisticated colonies with high-level communications and employing such advanced arms and technology, we humans can only gaze in wonder. The programme goes fishing in the rainforests of Panama and Costa Rica, searching for fishing bugs and abseiling wasps, whose unusual behavior has never before been documented on film
