Summary Each year more than 2,000 people apply to become inspectors with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA). Only 24 are chosen for each of the two courses. Animal Police follows the trainees as they learn the job, meeting animal owners who find it difficult to look after themselves, let alone a pet, but also those who love their animals more than anything else. It's a job that's often difficult and unpleasant, but when they find a home for a stray pet or save an animal's life, it is the best job in the world
