Summary Kevin McCloud revisits Adrian Phillips and his fiancee Corinna Wigglesworth, who decided their first home together was to be a 300-year-old ruin that has been in Adrian's family for three generations. The former cottage is set in the inhospitable climate of the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. The isolated site is at the mercy of the weather: fierce winds, rain and severe floods, storms, snow and ice, making working conditions virtually intolerable in winter. The property has no mains water or electricity and driving up the hill to the property is a challenge for all concerned. To make matters worse, during the build the region is hit by foot and mouth disease and all visitors are banned from the site for two months. When Kevin arrives for his final visit, the build is still nowhere near completion.PRODUCTION DETAILS:Written and presented by Kevin McCloud.
